Directing | Editing

Samira Ghahremani, born in 1990 and raised in Vienna, graduated in Media Technology from the FH St. Pölten (2012) as well as Editing and Directing from the Vienna Film Academy (graduated in 2020 and 2023). Since 2012 she has been working as a freelance editor and assistant editor for cinema and television in Leeds, Nairobi and Vienna. Her first short feature film Voltage (2017) was shown at the Berlinale.

Her debut documentary Good Life Deal won the Max Ophüls Prize 2023 for Best Documentary.

In 2024 she was nominated for the Austrian Film Award Best Editing for the movie Matter out of Place by Nikolaus Geyrhalter.
