With abysmal humor and painful realism, Voltage tells of the agony of being in love with the wrong guy. Lizzy is as determined as she is desperate to get involved with the techno DJ Bernhard. He makes it unmistakably clear to her that he has no feelings for her. He makes his own use of her clumsy advances. When he lets her drive him to a party, she gets her hopes up one last time.
