Eugen (75) lives in the countryside with his wife Martha (74), who suffers from Alzheimer's, and their son Gerd (50). Gerd has moved back home to care for his parents and supports his father in everyday life. When Gerd disappears one day, Eugen is confronted with a problem of which he was previously unaware. Slowly he has to realize that he too is suffering from dementia. And through the everyday life he shares with Martha, he is confronted daily with the consequences of his own illness. Everyday Life is a snapshot of the everyday life of two people, which is more determined by forgetting in one, less in the other.
